I became an educator because I believe literacy changes lives. Reading and writing open doors not only to academic success, but also to confidence, self-expression, and opportunity. Over the past fourteen years, as both a classroom teacher and instructional coach, I have worked with students, educators, and families to help learners grow into confident, capable readers who understand their own potential.

My journey in education has always centered on supporting students who need literacy to truly click. Whether a child is building foundational skills, strengthening comprehension, or rebuilding confidence after struggling, I believe every learner deserves instruction that is patient, structured, and responsive to their individual needs. 

As a certified Reading Specialist with dual Master’s degrees in Literacy and Reading and Educational Leadership, my work is grounded in evidence-based practices that combine explicit skill instruction with meaningful and engaging learning experiences.

Throughout my career, I have partnered with teachers and school communities to design literacy instruction, coach educators, and create inclusive environments where all students, including multilingual learners and those needing targeted intervention, feel supported and successful. These experiences shaped the vision behind Bloom Literacy Co., a place where strong instruction and genuine care come together to help students grow.

At Bloom, my goal is simple. I want students to leave each session not only with stronger reading and writing skills, but also with greater confidence in themselves. 

When students begin to see themselves as readers and thinkers, real growth happens, and that confidence carries far beyond the classroom.
